A couple of weeks ago, I stumbled across a NIB Vanning in the local classifieds. I remember looking at that type of RC car many years ago (Vanning/LandJump/Robbe Leopard etc.), but I was not able to get my hands on one back then. I decided to buy it, and there was no doubt in my mind, that I was going to assemble it. It was an absolute pleasure to work with such a nice piece of machinery. During unboxing, I noticed that the clutch bell was a little corroded, and the diffs were seized due to internal corrosion on the axles. Apparently, moisture can penetrate the cardboard backing of the packing sheet, so if any of you have a NIB Vanning or Landjump, you might want to spray the diffs with a little WD40 or place some moisture absorbing packages (silica gel) in the box to avoid the corrosion. Anyway, all I need now is to install the receiver and servos, and I will take it for a spin. The car was designed to be driven, and it will be. I will probably stick to grass though, to avoid wearing the chain and sprockets down. By the way, is it possible to find a steel spur gear? The original one is plastic, and i bet it wont last long. Some photos of the beast: Best regards Jesper, Denmark

Thanks! Well, it set me back $350, so I guess it would be quite easy to make a profit. But it's a keeper )
