I have been in the hobby since the early 70's and I also fly planes and heli's. Since there was basically no information on the internet about these Vintage r/c cars I came up with the "Original" Website dedicated ONLY to the Kyosho LandJump/Vanning r/c site on the internet www.LandJump.com to help other collectors. Since then a bunch of copy sites have been coming up, but the .COM says it all.

Skippy, I haven't been to this site for awhile. So I just now read your reply, thanks. I made my own throtle linkage with piano wire and springs, stoppers and other odds and ends. It actually worked out really well. One question though, can you tell me what after market rims, or tires I can use on my Silverfox gold eddition? The set I have is mint so I don't really like using them.

Skippy, I have a Vanning I would like to trade for a Silverfox. Its a roller/fixer upper. It needs the complete brake assembly, throtle linkages, spur gear, and new shocks. You might be able to rebuild the old ones though. The wheels are in bad shape, but the tires are descent. Everything else is there and in descent shape. I'm just looking for a parts car, to make it an even trade. Let me know if your interested, I can send pics.

I have installed an electric driven supercharger on my Vanning. It is Y'ed into the throttle channel with an ESC, the more throttle it gets the faster the fan turns. It works really well and looks neat. The answer for tires is a little more difficult. Most of the really good candidates to fit the LJ wheels are too large in the ID. Our wheels are 1.9, so you need at the most 2.0 tires, most are 2.2. You can find 2.0 inch tires but they are usually on road and not the type we really need. This is one of the problems of trying to restore one, there are just not that many tires coming up for sale. You can of course change to ProLine wheels and run the modern 2.2 tires and save your old wheels, I have done that on my runner LandJump. They work fine and are relatively cheap. Oh and Hossam, we won't hold that against you! ;-)
